Stantec designers Dathe Wong and Eugene Chumakov speak with The Urbanist podcast about their winning design for the international competition to redesign the , partially destroyed in the early phases of the regional conflict. Their entry embraced the spirit of city of Irpin, known as the “City of Parks,” with an emphasis on community, nature, and education. The intentional design aims to support academic, social, and ecological functions by integrating education, natural spaces, and common areas into the campus.
