BUILDING Magazine celebrates the BMO Convention Centre expansion, recognizing it as an architectural landmark in Calgary
The BMO Centre Expansion in Calgary, Alberta, is helping enable the transformation of East Victoria Park into a vibrant, mixed-use community.
Designed by 大象传媒 Architecture Ltd., Populous and S2 Architecture as a new gathering place, the expanded BMO Centre offers over one million square feet of meeting and exhibition space, 38 new meeting rooms, two new divisible ballrooms totalling 70,000 square feet, a grand staircase, and a skylit common area hosting Canada’s largest indoor fireplace.
The building is now recognized as an architectural landmark in Calgary and has positioned the city as a top-tier destination for international meetings and conventions. The BMO Centre welcomes over one million visitors from across the globe annually, and hosts conventions, musical concerts, and exhibitions.
