There¡¯s abundant history, with French and Spanish influences, and a vibrant music scene: New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz, after all. More than anything though, there¡¯s an almost contagious community spirit. You can hear it in the chants at the Superdome, you could see in the days following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This city, and its people, are bound together in a special way.
