A senior environmental planner and regulatory advisor, Elaine helps clients across Canada realize their visions while doing what’s right by preserving the environment. She specializes in developing clear regulatory roadmaps that guide complex projects from conceptualization through construction and operation. She has directed projects under various federal, provincial/territorial, and municipal regulatory acts and guidelines and remains current with updates and changes.
Elaine began her career in the Canadian Arctic doing logistics work to support mineral exploration. Two decades later, she coordinates multidisciplinary teams of biophysical and environmental planning personnel and manages a diverse portfolio of projects. One example is the Grays Bay Road and Port project in Nunavut, which will provide road access to the Kitikmeot region for the first time, as well as sea access to the Northwest Passage, creating new economic opportunities for the area.
Away from work, Elaine enjoys spending quality time with her two adult children and menagerie of pets.?
