Daniela is professional civil engineer with nearly 20 years of experience managing engineering and geotechnical projects for mine tailings and waste management. Her experience covers geotechnical investigations, engineering projects for thickened and cyclone tailings dams, leach pads, waste rock facilities, and other waste materials. She finds the most rewarding projects to be those in which she has grown and helped others grow professionally.
In addition to her role as a project manager, Daniela leads a team within our Tailings and Waste group in Peru. She takes great pride in managing mining efforts because it allows her to work closely with others to overcome the challenges they face technically and culturally. She is motivated by the desire to inspire others with her work and serve as a mentor to junior colleagues, especially women entering the field.
When she isn’t busy with tailings and waste projects, Daniela spends time with her young son, watching TV shows or movies, hunting insects in the park, and relaxing at the club contemplating nature. You can also find her reading a good book and spoiling her beautiful cat.
