Alex brings extensive knowledge and field experience to her work in solid waste management and environmental planning. She has led and supported the development of comprehensive waste management plans across Western Canada. These include key projects in the Columbia Shuswap Regional District, Sunshine Coast Regional District, and Metro Vancouver. Her work spans strategic planning, technical analysis, and engagement—backed by her IAP2 certification in public participation.
Additionally, Alex’s knowledge extends into long-term infrastructure and policy development. Some of her recent projects include supporting Metro Vancouver with their Solid Waste Management Plan Update and an assessment of the District of Squamish’s curbside collection program to increase accessibility, equity, and reduce wildlife interactions. She consistently delivers practical, forward-thinking solutions while navigating complex regulations, interpreting technical data, and fostering collaboration.
Outside of work, Alex loves to stay active—no matter the season. You can find her in the mountains skiing, camping, and hiking or in the city running, biking, and playing soccer and volleyball. She occasionally enjoys slowing down, putting her feet up and reading a good book.
