Coca-Cola - Can Line Upgrade

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Australia (CCEP) has operated at their Kewdale site since 1972, producing more than 150 distinct products for Western Australia. Over the decades, the facility has undergone significant changes in infrastructure and floor space.

We have supported CCEP at Kewdale for many years, and the can line upgrade project expanded our role through the application of digital engineering. As CCEP's requirements have evolved, we have been able to expand their capabilities, with our Digital Engineering team establishing and managing a common data environment (CDE). Having a CDE meant that Australian engineering teams, the Germany-based manufacturing equipment group, and local contractors all have access to up-to-date information via a federated model integrated from various file platforms.

The application of digital engineering to coordinate the early design stages of the new structural walkway and manufacturing equipment has enabled a more efficient construction process, reducing on-site challenges and downtime. With the previous line operating at 1,100 cans per minute, planning for continuity was critical. The improved processes have enabled a smoother installation, supporting efficient production while safeguarding the facility¡¯s long-term adaptability.

For CCEP, this upgrade is about more than just speed. It reflects a commitment to innovation and reliability, so that Coca-Cola, Powerade, Mount Franklin, Kirks, and other household names can continue to be produced locally and delivered across Western Australia.
