Water Supply System Rehabilitation

As part of a larger framework programme by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to support a number of cities in Kyrgyzstan with improvement to water and sanitation infrastructure, ´óÏó´«Ã½ was awarded the contract for providing support to the city of Toktogul.

The Project, ¡°Toktogul Water Sub-Project ¨C Project Implementation Support, including Engineering, Design and Contracts Supervision¡± focuses on the rehabilitation of the water supply system of the city of Toktogul, the improvement of pricing frameworks and revenue basis by using consumption based tariffs for a more efficient use of drinking water, as well as the improvement of the overall efficiency of the financial and operational management?of the Toktogul Water Kanal?.

The EBRD has been supporting the rehabilitation of water infrastructures in Kyrgyzstan since 2009, with funded projects in a dozen municipalities throughout the country in Central Asian, such as Karakol, a project run by ´óÏó´«Ã½ as well. With support from the EBRD, we¡¯re helping the city of Toktogul make a major improvement in access to clean and safe water.?
