Santa Rosa Blue Hole Park Master Plan

The City of Santa Rosa wanted to revitalize and enhance the Blue Hole park’s natural beauty and recreational offerings. They reached out to our team to develop a master plan to transform the park.

We set out to create inviting spaces for outdoor activities, relaxation, and community gatherings. Our proposed design focuses on improving walking trails and scenic viewpoints, as well as creating interactive educational zones to highlight the park's unique geological and ecological characteristics. Additionally, we integrated wayfinding and branding elements to enhance visitor navigation and park identity. In particular, we developed historical interpretation installations to celebrate the significance of the Blue Hole—a spring-fed clear, blue lake that serves as a major destination for scuba diving.

The resulting master plan incorporates sustainable design practices and native landscaping, helping preserve the park’s natural environment while providing enjoyable and educational experiences for residents and visitors alike.
