Policy Planning

A successful plan is a process and team effort

When a government, council, or business adopts a course of action, policy planners are ready to help facilitate it. Planning involves detail and the big picture, and we’re good at both. Our planning specialists guide project teams and help you secure pragmatic consents and approvals for complex transport, land development, and three waters infrastructure projects.

Our planners work in line with set objectives, policies and rules—guides that outline how they manage the protection, use, and development of natural resources, how land and water is to be used, and how to navigate consenting and the Resource Management Act. Our aim? To give you sensible recommendations based on solid data, analysis, and firm evidence from our scientists, urban planners, and data specialists.

We review and offer advice on developing or improving existing long-term and strategic plans, and we help prepare submissions relating to your responsibilities to provide and operate critical infrastructure. Additionally, we advise councils through the Environment Court appeal process by preparing and presenting technical evidence, supporting mediation, and serving as expert witnesses until appeals are resolved.

Let us bring your plan to life.?
